This weekend is all about mom, so you’ve got to show her just how special she is to you. If you’re a mom who needs a need a fun day or you’ve ran out of ideas on what to do for the special lady in your life, here’s how you can show your mom a good time this weekend.

NOLA Veggie Fest – For all of my vegetarian foodies, enjoy your favorite veggie eats from a slew of restaurants this Saturday and Sunday. The fest will feature food samples, live cooking demonstrations, and more at Kingsley House. Free; Sat: 11A-6P | Sun: 12-6P

SATURDAY, MAY 13

Champagne Stroll – Stroll down Magazine St. and sip champagne while listening to live music. Various shops will be open later than usual and will feature special offers. FREE, 5-9P.

Rosé Fest – These days, everyone loves a nice glass of rosé. So why not sip and indulge in over 50 rosé wines from over 12 vendors at Bacchanal’s 8th annual Rosé fest? For just $10 (and pink in your attire), you can sip all the rosé you can handle. 2:30-5P.

Mother’s Day Celebration – The Audubon Zoo is hosting a celebration for all mothers on their special day. Mothers of all ages will be granted complimentary admission (available at front gate entrance). Irma Thomas and Robin Barnes will be providing great music while various NOLA eateries like Ma Momma’s House of Cornbread, Chicken and Waffles will be dishing out scrumptious eats. 10A-5P.

Zulu on the Bayou – Along Bayou St. John, the annual Mother’s Day music festival will feature Shamarr Allen, Brass-A-Holics, Partners-N-Crime, and more. Plus good food from various vendors. 11A-7P; FREE.

Original Big 7’s 21st Annual Mother’s Day Parade – The Original Big Seven Social Aid & Pleasure Club will be hosting its 21st Annual Mother’s Day Parade. The second line starts at 1825 Elysian Fields Ave. (home of the Original Big Seven Culture and Heritage) and ends at the New Day Fight Back Center. Formation @ noon; Start @ 1P.
