LOVEYours promotes self-confidence and self-awareness in young girls though public speaking.
ABOUT THIS EVENT
LOVEYours equips girls with the speaking tools that they need for success. You have great ideas but need help articulating them? You’d rather swim with sharks than speak on a stage? Or, do you love speaking but want to enhance your skills? Well this is the workshop for all of you!
LOVEYours is held Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Dillard University from 9am-4pm. The workshop is absolutely free and is open to girls ages11-17. Registration includes lunch, a t shirt and a copy of Tamara Branch’s book iTGIRL4LIFE. Breakout sessions will be led by Betsy Borrego and Krystal Holmes of the New Orleans Pelicans and we have an informative and entertaining panel featuring Keedy Black, Uptown Angela, Downtown Lesli Brown and iCon. Sharita’s World LLC is hosting a vision boarding hour as well! The workshop is sponsored by Magnolia A LLC, The Jenesse Center, Dillard University, The Beautiful Foundation, NOLA Girls Speak and Sharita’s World.
