People across America are gearing up for their next holiday, Valentine’s Day, but here in New Orleans, we’re getting ready for Mardi Gras. Can you believe we’re only 54 days away from Fat Tuesday? And get this: we’re just four days away from the first MG parade. We literally just stepped into 2020 and time is already flying.

Mardi Gras is a time for booze, beads, and best of all, balls. The Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club, one of the biggest Mardi Gras Krewes, just announced the entertainment lineup for their 2020 coronation ball. The SOS Band, a popular, old school group from the 80s (ask ya mama nem), Musiq Soulchild, and Doug E. Fresh & Friends, will be performing and there will be special appearances by Choppa Style, DJ Jubliee, and DJ Polo504.

Tickets to the ball are now on sale. The cost of a Zulu Ball table (seats 10) is $1700. As always, the dress code is formal — black tuxedos for men and floor length gowns for women — and is strictly enforced. There are no exceptions, so if you violate, you won’t be admitted.

Will you be attending?
