The Weekend Spill, June 1-3

Coming off the heels of a long Memorial Day weekend, the city is still super busy. It’s hot as hellllll, but if you’re looking to get out, I’m sure you can choose one of these events to get into. Have fun!


New Orleans Oyster Fest – The festival will be held June 2nd + 3rd at Woldenberg Park next to the Energy Giant Screen Theater/Aquarium. Shammar Allen, Treme Brass Band, and Bag of Donuts are amongst musical acts performing. There will also be a P&J Oyster shucking contest and more. Admish is free but VIP tickets are available.


The Tipping Point – Good Music. Good People. Good Vibes. All going down for free at the Dragon’s Den. 10P.

Issa Vibe Fridays ft. DJ Mushatt – R&B, Hip Hop, & all the throwback hits we all know and love happens every Friday at The Revolution, 1840 Thalia Street. 9 – UNTIL; Admish is FREE.

R&B Saturdays – Same place as Issa Vibe Fridays, this event is all about old and new jams. All going down at The Revolution, 1840 Thalia Street. 9 – UNTIL; Admish is FREE.


Nappy Hour – This event is said to make the people feel real good. DJ Jess and J. Saunders will be playing a mix of the best of reggae, hip-hop, r&b, and neo soul. There’ll also be hookahs. Fun. 4-11P.
