Southern Decadence – Breaking an attendance record last year, the 45th annual celebration is sure to be epic. From Thursday to Monday, members and friends of the LGBT community will take to the streets of the French Quarter to celebrate this year’s theme, “Decadence Takes Over the World.” Check the schedule of events for both free and ticketed parties.

Louisiana Seafood Fest – Indulge in fresh and flavorful seafood at this year’s seafood fest. The three-day-festival will consist of celebrity chef demonstrations, live music from Tank and the Bangs, The Village People, plus all types of other fun for the family. Admission is $8 and the fest will go down, rain or shine, at City Park.

Drake + Future – The 6 God and Future will be live and in effect during the NOLA leg of their Summer Sixteen Tour. Super-duo DVSN are set to open for the rappers at the Smoothie King Center.

Uniquity: A Woman’s Work – The creators of Uniquity, the monthly event that fuses Hip-Hop, R&B and Spoken Word together are bringing you its first-ever full-on dance party. A Woman’s Work is designed to give you life through music. Three DJs, one dance floor, plus local entrepreneurs who are all female, it doesn’t get any better than that.

SATURDAY

Super Fresh Hip-Hop Festival – All of your old school faves from back in the day will be under one roof for one night only. Doug E. Fresh, Too $hort, Slick Rick, EPMD, Dana Dane, Roxanne Shanté, Dj Kool, and Partners-N-Crime will be giving you all types of nostalgic feels as they blow up the stage at the UNO Lakefront Arena.

SUNDAY

MONDAY | LABOR DAY

Maroon 5 – 2013 was the group’s last time performing in New Orleans. You can expect them to perform hits like, “Maps” and “Sugar” off of their last album, V at the Smoothie King Center.

Have a blast while enjoying these events — responsibly. Happy Labor Day!
