Are you a basketball player with a flair for acting? Well, Oprah is looking for you! She is looking for male former college basketball players to appear in her new TV series, “Queen Sugar.”

The 13-episode series is based on the novel by Natalia Baszile. It’s about Nova Bordelon, a New Orleans journalist/activist whose jet-setting and basketball wife sister moves back home to Louisiana from L.A. to help run their family’s 800-acre sugar cane farm after their dad passed away.

The series is co-created by “Selma” director Ava Duvernay and is set to start filming Feb. 28 (subject to change). If you are a MALE former college basketball player, between the ages of 22 and 35, and think you have what it takes to make it on the big screen, email the following deets to queensugarcasting@gmail.com, with the subject titled “Basketball Player.” If you are currently playing ball in college, this one isn’t for you.
