Taylor Swift’s performance may have kicked off the 2016 Grammys, but no one got the party started like New Orleans! Minutes before the awards show began, NOLA’s own Preservation Hall Jazz Band, along with Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, second lined through the crowd with Foo Fighters‘ David Grohl on the drums.
Louisiana represented on Grammy night. One of my favorite hometown musicians, Jon Cleary, won Best Regional Roots Music Album for his album Go Go Juice and Buddy Guy brought home the Best Blues Album Grammy for his album, Born to Play Guitar.
