From festivals, to Pride celebrations, to dance parties, to brunchin’ on Sunday, there’s a lot to choose from this weekend. Have fun!

French Market Creole Tomato Festival (Saturday + Sunday) – Live music, food booths, cooking demos, fresh creole tomatoes, activities for kids, and more will be happening at the 31st Annual Creole Tomato Festival in Dutch Alley, The Farmers Market, and at the Old U.S. Mint. 10A – 7P | FREE.

New Orleans Pride – The three-day weekend festival will comprise of events to celebrate and promote the history and future of the LBGTQIA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex and Asexual) communities in the New Orleans and surrounding areas. Events, including Louisiana’s largest LBGTQIA parade, will take place in downtown New Orleans.

FRIDAY, JUNE 9

Hot 8

Hot 8 Brass Band Record Release Show – The Hot 8 Brass Band will be performing live during their On the Spot tour. Keedy Black and DJ Soul Sister will also be hitting the stage. 8P.

R&B Only – Take things back to the old school with DJ Bam at Republic. R&B Only is a night curated around the sexy sounds of the 90s & early 2000s R&B and hip-hop. 10P | 21+ | $20.

The Tipping Point – Good music, good people, good vibes. It’s always a good time at TTP at the Dragon’s Den. 11P | 21+ | No cover.

SATURDAY, JUNE 10
Blend

Slick Rick – The legend, the ruler will be performing live during the 100 Black Men of America, Inc.’s 31st Annual Conference at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

#BLEND: Sounds, Libations & Eats – Chefs, mixologists, DJs, and performers all come together and blend at the People’s Health New Orleans Jazz Market. Anchored by Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey! RSVP now, space is limited. 8P.

Traditional Saturdays: The Beat Goes On – Saturday night, traditional Marigny dance party. This week features DJ Rik Ducci who will be spinning funk, soul, rare groove, classic hip-hop. 11P | FREE.

SUNDAY, JUNE 11
Brunch in the Big Easy – The ultimate Sunday Brunch featuring Jazz music and a menu curated by two unique culinary connoisseurs. The menu will consist of Migas with Steak Fajita, Rosemary Hash Potatoes, Eggs Benedict, Bacon, Loaded Mac & Cheese, and the ultimate joy of Red Velvet Waffles. Yum.
