It’s officially festival season in New Orleans, and one of the biggest festivals is happening this weekend. This year, the French Quarter Fest is celebrating its 35th birthday. Being that it’s NOLA’s tricentennial year, the fest is going to be huge. But that’s not all; There are a few other cool events happening around festival haps. Check them out!
ALL WEEKEND
French Quarter Fest (APRIL 12-15) – This year, the FQF is celebrating its 35th birthday. With tons of food vendors and performances by Partners N Crime, DJ Jubilee, Jon Cleary, Shamarr Allen, Brass-A-Holics, and more, the four-day festival weekend is going to be huge! As always, admission is free. Make sure not to miss the Tricentennial fireworks on Saturday night.
FRIDAY
Soulful Takeover with DJ Soul Sister – From 10P – 2A, be prepared to let DJ Soul Sister take over your soul on the dance floor at One Eyed Jacks. Admission is $10 but, as always, it’s free to party.
The Tipping Point – Good Music. Good People. Good Vibes. All going down for free at the Dragon’s Den. 10P.
LAGNIAPPE – A party where the donations are just as important as the dance moves, Lagniappe highlights locally grown talent, philanthropy, and good music. Curated by DJ RQ Away, think #TheTippingPointNOLA x10. But, before he RQs the Tipitina’s crowd, Kristian Avian will grace the stage with the Cool Nasty band.
