April is near, but before we get there, March is ending with a myriad of festivals. This last weekend in March is overflowing with events. From festivals, to concerts, to DJ sets, this weekend is going to be lit!

ALL WEEKEND

Tennessee Williams Literary Festival (March 22 – 26) – This festival consists of events like Books and Beignets, a writing marathon, and ending with what the festival is best known for—its “Stella” shouting contest in Jackson Square—guests line up to compete by shouting out the famous line from “A Streetcar Named Desire.”

Louisiana Crawfish Festival (March 23 – 26) – The annual festival isn’t in the New Orleans Metro area but that never stops one from traveling for good crawfish! Located in Chalmette (which isn’t that far away), the festival will feature all things crawfish (boiled crawfish, crawfish pasta, crawfish bread, etc.), live music, rides, and more. $5 admish.

New Orleans Bourbon Festival (March 24 – 26) – A new festival to the scene, the festival caters to the Bourbon enthusiast. The entire weekend consists of Bourbon tastings, dinners, and seminars, as well as an awards brunch. Tickets start at $40.

FRIDAY, MARCH 24

Free Music Series! – Fulton Alley and Winter Circle Productions have partnered to bring live music to the bowling venue. From 10:30P-2:30A, DJ Kidd Love will be spinning on the 1s and 2s.

SATURDAY, MARCH 25

Biz Markie – The legendary DJ will be bringing the party as he collides hits from the 80s and the 90s. If you’re a lover of classic hip-hop, you should find yourself at House of Blues NOLA. Doors @ 7P; Show @ 8P.

Chris Rock (March 25-27) – The legendary comedian makes a stop in NOLA during his Total Blackout tour for three nights in a row (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday). Show @ 8P.

Dancing Room Only – Dubbed as the “The Uncommon Dance Party,” the event celebrates dance and music. It happens periodically and will be going down at Annunciation Hall from 9P-1A with entertainment by DJ RQ Away and Jacksom Power.

The Rabbit Hole – The dance party that goes LATE is a sweet mix of all the hits, beginning and ending @ House of Blues New Orleans. Ladies get in for free and drink for free until 1 a.m. Service industry workers also get in for free. The hottest DJs will be keeping the party going until the wee hours of the morning. Party starts at midnight, doors open at 11:59 p.m. [Click e-ticket to print]

SUNDAY, MARCH 26

Bloody Mary Festival – If there one thing Sundays are made for, it’s Bloody Marys (or in my case, mimosas). The new festival, held at The Howlin’ Wolf, offers twelve of the tastiest Bloody Marys from some on NOLA’s finest restaurants and bars from 12:30-4:30P.
