Over the weekend, I got the chance to peep a few of the industry’s hottest artists perform at the 2019 BUKU Music + Art Project.

The highlight of Friday night was when Kevin Gates performed a slew of hits for the massive crowd. “Thinking With My D**k,” “Perfect Imperfection,” “Really Really,” and “2 Phones” were just a few tracks Gates laced his fan with. At one point, he brought up his daughter and son, Islah and Khaza, to perform with him.
On night two (Saturday), A$AP Rocky brought the flames to his set — literally. Pretty Flacko literally set the BUKU stage on fire and even urged his fans to create a mosh pit. It was wild.

Rocky performed crowd faves like “Everyday,” “Wild for the Night,” “No Limit,” and my personal fave, “L$D.” He even cranked up fellow A$AP Mob member A$AP Ferg‘s latest hit, “Plain Jane.”
Ella Mai took her performance to the next level when she performed the bounce version of her very popular hit, “Boo’d Up.” “We in New Orleans, right?” The singer asked before running that B-E-A-T. But before she did it one time for New Orleans, Ella Mai belted out her newest single, “Shot Clock.”

She also performed “Naked” and “Trip.” Not to mention, Gunna had the crowd feeling wavy with his Lil Baby-featured hit, “Drip Too Hard.”

This year, BUKU was pretty laid back but highly lit. Can’t wait ’til next year! Check out more photos from the weekend. ♥
