Chance the Rapper, 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne Perform “No Problem” on Ellen

Chance the Rapper is without a doubt one of the biggest rappers this year. His latest mixtape, Coloring Book, reached the top of the Billboard 200, peaking at No. 8. The 23-year-old rapper made his first guest appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where he performed his latest single, “No Problem,” along with Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz.

But this wasn’t your typical performance. It was like something out of a video. The stage was set as an executive meeting at a record label dubbed “Generic Records.” Chance then storms through the doors, jumping on the desk and knocking papers out of the way, as he raps the anti-record label hit.

But the best part of the super live performance, for me, was Wayne’s part. We all know he’s going through a tough time with the whole Birdman/Cash Money, multimillion-dollar lawsuit situation. Well, he remixed the words to his verse to respond to his situation: “And if that label try to stop me, I’m gon’ let ’em rob me. Yeah, right, like Ryan Lochte.” Watch the performance below:

After the performance, a very shaken up Chance, who was still high off of his performance, sat down with Ellen to talk about his stance on staying independent and recalling the moment Ellen invited him to perform on her show while he was drunk at a White House party. They also took a selfie. Of course.
