The Weekend Spill: Aug 5 - 7

From Satchmo Fest to White Linen Night, get into some pre-fall fun in the first weekend of August.

ALL MONTH LONG

COOLinary – One of my favorite times of the year, COOLinary gives you a chance to experience great lunch and dinner eats from the finest eateries around NOLA at a low price from Aug. 1 – Aug. 31.

ALL WEEKEND

Satchmo Summerfest – A myriad of local musicians will grace two stages at the 3-day festival. Starting at noon on Friday and 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, you can also enjoy an array of good eats from a range of NOLA food vendors in and around Jackson Square in the French Quarter. Admission, $5.

FRIDAY, AUG 5
Juvenile – The hometown legend will be performing classic hits at Republic NOLA, 928 S. Peters St. Ticket prices vary. 10 p.m.

SATURDAY, AUG 6

Whitney White Linen Night – Julia Street is the place to be, white is the color to wear, and art is the thing to see during WWLN. The event is free, open to the public, and starts at 5:30 p.m.

SUNDAY, AUG 7

RIFF RAFF – DOLLABiLLGATES and TRiLL SAMMY & DiCE SOHO will be opening up for the rapper during his NOLA stop on The Peach Panther Tour the Parish at House of Blues, 225 Decatur St. 7 p.m.

Have a blast, but of course, responsibly.
