The 2016 NOLA Music Awards are underway and it’s time to enlist new rappers for the annual CYPHER. Every year, a handful of local artists are picked to show off their rap skills and jam together in the NOLA Music Awards CYPHER. There’s always more than one cypher, so there’s room, but you’ve got to bring you A-game. If you missed last year’s cyphers, peep them here. Submissions are being accepted from now until Friday, August 19.
If you think you’ve got what it takes to spit your flow in this year’s CYPHER, here’s how to get on:
1. Record a video of you spitting 16 bars
2. Post your video to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
3. Tag @nolamusicawards and use the hashtag #NMW2016Cypher
