If you needed confirmation that we’re finally in the midst of festival season, nothing confirms it like French Quarter Fest Weekend! One of the most festive weekends is finally here and filled with festivals, concerts, and day-drinking events.
ALL WEEKEND
French Quarter Fest (APRIL 6-9) – It’s finally here and I bet you can’t wait to enjoy the yummiest food NOLA has to offer as well as jam to live music from 23 stages with every genre from brass bands to jazz to funk. The lineup includes acts like Brass-A-Holics, Partners N Crime & The Big Easy Bounce Band featuring DJ Jubilee, Tank and The Bangas, and Aaron Neville, who will be performing at this year’s fest for the first time ever. And the best part: Admish is free!
FRIDAY, APRIL 7
Bastille: Wild, Wild World Tour – If you’ve been a fan since their major hit, “Pompeii,” be apart of the crowd and experience the band that brings electro-pop with an indie vibe. Show starts at 7:30P.
Tim McGraw + Faith Hill: Soul2Soul World Tour – The Country husband and wife duo will be bringing their souls to NOLA’s Smoothie King. Show starts at 7:30P.
SATURDAY, APRIL 8
Piety Street Market – Over 50 vendors offering food, crafts, art, handmade jewelry, and other homemade goods will be festing in the Bywater. There will also be live music. 11A-4P.
Longvue Easter Egg Hunt – The annual easter egg hunt takes place at Longue Vue House and Gardens where there will be a ton of family fun. Attendees can get their faces painted, play lawn games, and way more. Bring your baskets to go egg hunting. $8-10 tickets are still available for the afternoon Hunt from 12:30-1:30P (hunt starts at 1P). Rain Date: April 23
Catahoula Wine Mixer – What do you get when you mix beautiful NOLA weather, alcohol, and a rooftop? The f**king Catahoula Wine Mixer! (Their words, not mine.) Going down at the Catahoula Hotel, you’re invited to spend your Saturday day-drinking all your worries away with all-you-can-drink house pours of wine and half-off bottles with the purchase of a $25 wristband. There will also be a screening Step Brothers because it’s only right. 4-8P.
