The New Orleans Jazz Fest will be returning from a three-year hiatus after being forced to cancel its 2020 and 2021 festivals due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Thursday (Jan. 20), New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival organizers announced the lineup for the long-awaited, legendary festival that’s set to take place April 29 – May 8, 2022. Erykah Badu, Lionel Richie, and Willie Nelson will be headlining the fest, to name a few. Some of our faves like Ludacris, Nelly, CeeLo Green, and Lionel Richie will also be rocking the stage. And what’s a New Orleans Jazz Fest without the incomparable Maze featuring Frankie Beverly? There’s no such thing!
Local (and national) faves performing include PJ Morton, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Ave, Tank and The Bangas, Big Freedia, Mia X, The Soul Rebels, and so many more.
Peep who’s on the bill:
I’ll be honest: This lineup isn’t the greatest and it definitely didn’t “wow” me. However, I wasn’t expecting much seeing where we are in the world. We’re slowly trying to put the pieces of normalcy back together, so this is a start. General Admission Weekend Passes and VIP Packages are on sale now!
