Before we get into the Weekend Spill, one time for New Orleans finally making it to 70-degree weather. Yessss! While it may not be time to break out the knee-length boots, this weather change means that this festive weekend is going to be simply beautiful. From Gentilly to the Westbank, to the Crescent City, there’s a festival in (almost) every part of the city.

Gentilly Fest – The super family-friendly festival will feature a multitude of musical artists, including Regina Bell as this year’s main performer. With live music, tons of food, arts & crafts vendors, and a kids village, there’s something to do for everyone. Admish is free, and as always, the festival will take place in Ponchartrain Park. There’s also a parade on Saturday. Click the link for times and other info.
Westbank Heritage Festival – On Friday and Saturday, enjoy the sounds of Juvenile, Raheem DeVaughn, Partners-N-Crime, Donnell Jones and more. The FREE festival will also include food and games for the entire family at the Alario Center. 12-9P.
Crescent City BBQ & Blues Festival – Get your barbecue and blues fix at Lafayette Square. Blues legends and a ton of food vendors will fill the festival from 4:30-8:30P on Friday and 11A-8:30P on Saturday and Sunday.

Soulful Takeovers w/ DJ Soul Sister – Your favorite FunkRocker will be spinning the funkiest jams all night at One Eyed Jacks. As always, it’s free to party, $10 to enter. 10P-2A.

Carnaval Latino – The Hispanic American Musicians and Artists Cultural Association presents the 19th annual celebration of latin music, food, and culture. The fun starts at Washington Square in the Faubourg Marigny Historic District, from 2-6:30P. Admission is free.
SUNDAY, OCT. 14
Snout by Snoutwest – First off, how cute is the name?! Presented by the SPCA, the puppy fest will include live music, food, fun activities, games, agility demos, and more for all ages. There will also be a Pet Adoption area. The fest takes place at the Jefferson Parish Westbank Animal Shelter from 11A-4P.
