We Live to Eat Restaurant Week – If you’re looking for ideas for a cute date night, look no further. Similar to COOLinary, Restaurant Week New Orleans features over 80+ restaurants that feature fixed-priced menus. Dig in!
Rodney King Live Performance – Roger Guenveur Smith returns to the Contemporary Arts Center with a live performance of Rodney King, a one-man show featuring Roger as Rodney King and the story of his videotaped beating by the L.A. Police Department in 1991 and the L.A. Riots. Tickets | Show times vary.

Irish Fest New Orleans – Celebrate the finest Irish food, music, and culture at Kingsley House from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will also be a Children’s Area, which will include: Pony rides, face painting, a cake walk, crafts, science experiments, and a petting area with mini-goats and mini-rabbits. Big Freedia’s International Swim Extravaganza – Come out and rep your favorite country, culture, state, or city at the biggest pool party of the year, hosted by Big Freedia and Kish Btw; Sounds by BlaqNmilD, Blaza, and DJ Poppa; Performances by Ha‑Sizzle and 504Detroit. This is all going down at the Drifter Hotel from 4 – 11P. An international gift basket will be given to the best dressed.
Felipe’s Fiesta Fest – If you follow me on Instagram, you know I have a true love for Felipe’s Taqueria. This Saturday, the restaurant is hosting its second annual Fiesta Fest in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Last year was a hit, so I’m sure this year will be even better. Enjoy live music, authentic recipes inspired from Mexico and other Central American countries, and dancing. And you know it won’t be a party w/o Felipe’s famed rocks and frozen, fresh-squeezed margaritas. 5P – 12A.
