It’s February and you know what that means: It’s Mardi Gras time! This weekend, there are 11 parades rolling in New Orleans and surrounding areas. If you’re not in the carnival mood, check out the many other events happening in the city. Have a blast!

Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Farewell Play Tour – ICYMI, Tyler Perry is hanging up his Madea costume; But before he does, he’s taking the foul-mouthed, gun-toting matriarch on one last tour for fans. Saturday (4P, 8P) and Sunday (3P) are your last chances to say goodbye to Madea at the Smoothie King Center, before she’s gone for good.

Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll New Orleans Marathon & Half Marathon – This Saturday and Sunday, the 11th annual event will take place at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center and City Park. Runners have the option to sign up for the 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon. Both days will be packed with entertainment by Jon Cleary & The Absolute Monster Gentlemen, Band Camp, and DJ Fresh + health and fitness expos. More Info.

FRIDAY, FEB. 7

Celine Dion – Known for hits, “My Heart Will Go On” and “Because You Loved Me,” and “The Prayer,” the powerhouse will be making a stop in New Orleans during her Courage World Tour at the Smoothie King Center. Tickets | 7:30P.

Elle Varner + J.Brown will be performing like at House of Blues New Orleans. Doors @ 8P, show @ 9P | 18+.

The Tipping Point – Good Music. Good People. Good Vibes. All going down for FREE at the Dragon’s Den. Sounds by DJs RQ Away + Groove Kidd | 11P.

T-Ray The Violinist’s Album Release Party – the talented musician will be celebrating the release of his latest album, Unexpected Sounds, Vol. 3 at Space Seven, with sounds by DJ RQ Away and performances by Assata Renay, Ray Wimley, and of course, T-Ray The Violinist. 7-10P.
