Getting my nails done every two to three weeks is a part of my self-care routine. There’s nothing like taking a break from the busyness of life and sitting down to be pampered and catered to. Aside from getting my nails done, one of my fave things to do at the nail salon is to sip on blush wine. However, thanks to COVID, we pretty much have to stay masked up — which I’m not complaining.
Back to my nails. It was my birthday, and I wanted to do something super cute with my nails; Something I never tried before. My nail tech told me about these new, velvet polishes she had just gotten in. At the time, I never saw anyone around New Orleans with velvet nails, yet, so that alone made me want them even more. Plus, the colors were super cute. Out of about five or six shades, I chose pink, of course.

Velvet nails aren’t as textured as they sound. They’re shimmering, semi-metallic polishes that, in the right light, make your nails look über velvety. And they’re so cute!
