It’s looking a lot like Weezy Season. Just last week, Lil Wayne fans were ecstatic to hear that Tha Carter V will be dropping sooner than later. And though there’s a lot of speculation that the release date is Sept. 21, it hasn’t been confirmed, yet.
While we’re waiting in anticipation for the long, overdue project, we congratulate Wayne on being an honoree for the 2018 BET Hip Hop Awards. The New Orleans rapper will receive the ‘I Am Hip Hop’ award next month during the ceremony.
If you ask me, a Lil Wayne honor is long overdue. Wayne has been in the game since rising to fame at 15 years old. Since then, he’s put out nothing but stellar music, has won over 60 awards, and not to mention, founded one of the biggest, most successful labels of our time. Even with all of the legal drama between him and Birdman, Wayne still managed to be one of the most respected top artists.
