New Orleans International Beer Festival – From 2 – 6 p.m., patrons can enjoy over 150 craft beers from around the country while being entertained with live music by Will Vance & the Kinfolk, and fun games. It usually takes place in Champions Square, but due to thunderstorm threats, the event has been moved to the first floor of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, 1500 Sugar Bowl Dr.

New Orleans Oyster Festival – Okay, this one is a two-day event, but it’d be a perfect Sunday hap. It’s perfect for families, features all types of oysters, and it’s FREE! Enjoy sounds from local bands like Tank and the Bangas (Saturday), and my fave cover band, Bag O’Donuts (Sunday), oyster contests, and great crafts on showcase at Woldenberg Park (next to the Entergy Giant Screen Theater/Aquarium).
