Yahya Abdul-Mateen II – New Orleans
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Yahya revealed that he wanted to channel royalty for his first time at the Met Gala. “I want to feel like a king, I want to bring some regal feel to it,” the actor told the publication. And from the looks of it, he did that.
The Magnolia Projects alum wore a three-piece suit designed by luxury fashion designer, Thom Browne, featuring a floor-length, three-ply mohair coat with tails that were embroidered with gold bouillon orchids and laurel leaves, and a white tie waistcoat made in silk faille and bowtie in pique. The coat was paired with black trousers and Browne’s signature wingtip loafers. The Watchmen star accessorized his suit with jewels designed by Boucheron, including a diamond-encrusted yellow gold Serpent Bohéme barrette placed in his hair.
