Next weekend, Essence Fest is finally taking over after a two-year interruption, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year will be bigger and blacker than ever with a gang of dope performances, experiences, parties — the whole nine!
Speaking of parties, the legendary Doug E. Fresh will be hosting The Black & White Affair on July 2 at The Historic Carver Theater. Sounds will be provided by New Orleans DJs Captain Charles & Raj Smoove, and New Edition’s official DJ, Shakim, straight out of Atlanta.
